Billing, credits and refunds

How the subscription is charged, exactly when a credit is spent, what happens when a session fails, and the circumstances in which money comes back.

VERSION 1.0EFFECTIVE 2 September 2026ISSUED BY [LEGAL ENTITY]DRAFT FOR COUNSEL REVIEW
4.1

How you are charged

Subscriptions are charged through Shopify Billing and appear on your normal Shopify invoice. We do not see or store card details.

Plans renew monthly on the anniversary of installation until cancelled in the Shopify admin. Prices are shown exclusive of tax; tax is applied by Shopify according to your store's location.

A price change takes effect at the start of the first billing period beginning at least 30 days after we notify you.

4.2

What a credit is

One credit buys one returned photograph. The number of credits a session will cost is shown on the button before it is pressed.

A Photo Session reserves the credits its plan states when it starts, and spends them as photographs are delivered.

A Quick Shot reserves and spends one credit.

Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred between stores.

4.3

Failed and partial sessions

If a session returns nothing, every reserved credit is released back to your balance automatically.

If a session returns fewer photographs than planned, only the delivered photographs are charged and the remaining reservation is released.

A re-shoot of a single frame costs one credit. Re-shooting because a photograph is technically broken — a corrupt file, a blank frame, or an image that does not depict the product supplied — costs nothing; write to support@dambl.app and the credit is returned.

4.4

Expiry and cancellation

Credits do not expire while a subscription is active.

On cancellation, unused credits remain usable until the end of the paid period. They are not refunded in cash and do not carry over if you later resubscribe after more than 90 days.

Downgrading a plan reduces the monthly credit allocation from the next billing period. Credits already in the balance are unaffected.

4.5

Refunds

Statutory rights are unaffected by anything in this policy.

We refund a billing period in full where the service was unavailable for more than 24 consecutive hours in that period, or where you were charged after cancelling.

We do not refund credits that were spent on photographs delivered as planned but not liked. Dissatisfaction with the look of a result is handled by re-shooting.

Refund requests go to support@dambl.app within 60 days of the invoice date, quoting the Shopify invoice number. We respond within five working days.

4.6

Non-payment

If Shopify reports a failed payment we retry according to Shopify's schedule and notify you in the application.

After 14 days of non-payment the account is suspended: sessions cannot be started and the library becomes read only.

Data is retained during suspension for 30 days and then deleted under the Images and data policy.
